The Chancel Choir consists of high school age through adult members, and is open to anyone willing to sing for worship services. The ability to read music is not required, although helpful. More importantly, it's what is in the heart and the dedication to the group that makes a good choir member.
The Chancel Choir sings at roughly three out of four Sundays a month, as well as an annual hymn festival. We've even sung a cantata around Christmas. The repertoire has a good mix of styles, from classical to modern.
While it is helpful to have everyone present throughout the year, sometimes life does happen, and so we have an open door policy: you are always welcome! Our philosophy is quite simple: We sing to glorify our God and Lord.
If you would like more information, please contact Jeff White, Minister of Music, or talk to any member of the choir. Rehearsals are open, so anyone may sit in to observe or try it out! We meet on Wednesdays at 7:45pm in the sanctuary.
