PRESS RELEASE PRESS RELEASE

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is celebrating fifty years of growing in Christ’s grace! The Reverend Dr. Gerald L. Mansholt, Bishop of the Central States Synod, will be preaching and presiding at the festival service to mark this event on May 27, 2007.
The service of Holy Communion is at 10 am, to be followed by a banquet at the Royale Orleans for all members, past members, and former pastors of the congregation.
Among the honored guests at this event, in addition to Bishop Mansholt, are Pastor Emeritus Donald Krueger, Pastor Phil Nielsen (former member of the congregation), Doug Cormack (former choir director), previous pastors, and assistant pastors, charter and council members.
The Reverend Dr. Michael Hoy, current pastor at Holy Trinity for the past nine years, has commented, “This is a momentous milestone in the life of this congregation. Holy Trinity has seen many days and years of treasured memories. We are pleased especially to welcome back old friends, parishioners and colleagues who have contributed greatly to this congregation’s heritage. Even through the struggles of some years, this congregation has shown strong resilience, a joy of laughter, and a loving hope in the promise of our Lord Jesus the Christ.”
Holy Trinity is located on the corner of Interstate-55 @ Reavis Barracks Road and Union Rd. The congregation intends to renovate its current facility to improve its fellowship hall and provide a lift, as well as contributing 10% of its giving toward social ministry projects.
